The People Behind RedmineKit

Leadership

Saranya, Vignesh, and Prakash all hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering.

Saranya — Co-Founder and CEO

Saranya co-founded RedmineKit and leads it as CEO. She is a software engineer with more than 15 years of experience in software engineering and extensive knowledge of software development and project management.

As CEO, she sets the company's direction, looks after our customer relationships, and makes sure every project is planned well and delivered as agreed.

Vignesh Esakkimuthu — Co-Founder and Redmine Specialist

Vignesh co-founded RedmineKit and is one of our Redmine specialists. He is a Ruby on Rails developer based in Bengaluru, India, and has spent years building, customizing, and supporting Redmine for clients around the world.

He shapes the direction of our plugins and works directly with customers on custom development and consulting.

He leads much of our hands-on Redmine work, including:

  • Plugin development: Building new Redmine plugins and extending existing ones in a way that stays safe to upgrade.
  • Customization: Adapting Redmine and third-party plugins, such as CRM and helpdesk tools, to the way a team actually works.
  • Integrations and automation: For example, syncing Redmine with Microsoft Outlook, sending SMS and Google Chat notifications, and automating ticket handling.
  • Upgrades and compatibility: Moving installations and plugins to newer Redmine versions and checking that everything keeps working.
  • Troubleshooting: Finding and fixing problems in live Redmine installations.

Clients who have worked with Vignesh on Redmine projects put it simply: “Thanks for all the work on Redmine, Vignesh.” and “Vignesh is good to work with.”

Prakash — Senior Redmine Developer

Prakash is a senior Redmine developer at RedmineKit. Based in Bengaluru, India, he is a Ruby on Rails developer who works with the inner workings of Redmine every day: its plugin system, roles and permissions, workflows, and the database underneath.

His day-to-day Redmine work includes:

  • Plugin development: Building new Redmine plugins and extending existing ones in a way that stays safe to upgrade.
  • Customization: Adapting Redmine and third-party plugins, such as CRM and helpdesk tools, to the way a team actually works.
  • Data privacy and access control: For example, a plugin that hides sensitive contact information from users who should not see it.
  • Upgrades and compatibility: Moving installations and plugins to newer Redmine versions and checking that everything keeps working.
  • Troubleshooting: Finding and fixing problems in live Redmine installations.

Prakash cares about getting the details right and about keeping clients informed when requirements change. As one client put it after a Redmine plugin project: “Prakash has completed the needed customization very well, and we are very happy to have worked with him.”

If you need a Redmine plugin built or adapted, there is a good chance you will be working with Prakash. Get in touch to tell us what you need.
