License Terms

Effective Date: October 12, 2026 · Website: RedmineKit.com

1. Introduction

These License Terms govern the purchase, download, installation, and use of software products distributed through RedmineKit.com (“RedmineKit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

RedmineKit provides software products and related resources for Redmine, including plugins, themes, customisations, and associated documentation.

By purchasing, downloading, or using a RedmineKit product, you agree to these terms and the applicable product-specific licence. If you do not agree, please do not purchase or use the product.

2. Product Licence

Each product available on RedmineKit.com is supplied under the licence terms specified on its product page, in its documentation, or in the accompanying licence file.

Depending on the product, the applicable licence may be an open-source licence, including the GNU General Public License (GPL), or another licence that is legally applicable to the product.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the applicable licence before installing or using a product.

Where these terms conflict with mandatory rights granted under an applicable open-source licence, those open-source licence rights will prevail to the extent of the conflict.

3. Purchase and Usage Rights

Unless the applicable product licence states otherwise, a successful purchase grants the customer the right to download and use the purchased product in accordance with its applicable licence.

For products sold with a perpetual-use entitlement:

  • The purchased version may be used indefinitely, subject to its applicable licence.
  • No recurring subscription is required to continue using the purchased version.
  • Future versions, feature upgrades, maintenance releases, and support are provided according to the product's stated update and support policy.
  • A purchase does not automatically include custom development, installation services, or ongoing maintenance unless expressly stated.

A perpetual-use entitlement does not override rights granted by an applicable open-source licence.

4. Server Licence Types

RedmineKit offers different purchase options based on the number of servers on which a customer intends to install and use a product. The applicable server limit is determined by the licence option selected and purchased at checkout.

4.1 Single Server Licence

A Single Server Licence permits the customer to install and use the purchased RedmineKit product on one server instance.

This licence is suitable for individual users, small businesses, and organisations operating a single Redmine server.

  • Permits installation on one server.
  • May be used for one production server environment.
  • Does not automatically include additional production servers, separate installations, or other server instances.
  • Additional server deployments require an appropriate licence, unless permitted by the applicable product licence or expressly authorised by RedmineKit.

4.2 Multi-Server Licence

A Multi-Server Licence permits the customer to install and use the purchased RedmineKit product on an unlimited number of server instances operated by the customer or organisation identified in the purchase.

This licence is suitable for organisations operating multiple Redmine installations or server environments.

  • Permits installation on any number of servers.
  • No server limit applies.
  • No upgrade or additional purchase is required to add servers.
  • The licence applies to the customer or organisation identified in the purchase and is subject to the applicable product licence.

4.3 What Counts as a Server?

For RedmineKit commercial licensing purposes, a server generally means a distinct server instance on which the product is installed and used.

Depending on the product and the selected plan, this may include:

  • A physical server.
  • A virtual machine (VM).
  • A cloud-based virtual server.
  • A separate hosted Redmine environment.

Multiple Redmine applications hosted on the same server instance are treated according to the product's stated licensing rules. Containers, clustered deployments, staging servers, development servers, disaster-recovery servers, and temporary migration servers should be covered by the specific server-counting rules published for the product.

Customers should contact RedmineKit if their infrastructure requires clarification.

4.4 Licence Scope and Organisation

A purchased server licence is intended for the customer or organisation associated with the order. It must not be transferred to another organisation or used by unrelated customers without authorisation, subject to rights granted under the applicable open-source licence.

A Multi-Server Licence does not automatically permit resale, sublicensing, or hosting the product for unrelated third parties.

4.5 Adding Servers or Upgrading

Customers who need additional server installations may purchase a higher-tier licence or contact RedmineKit to discuss available options.

Any upgrade pricing, additional server allowance, and revised entitlements will be communicated before the additional purchase.

4.6 Open-Source Licence Rights

Where a product is distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) or another open-source licence, that licence governs the rights to use, modify, and redistribute the covered software.

The server limits described in this section apply to commercial entitlements only to the extent that such limits are consistent with the applicable product licence. They do not override rights granted by that licence.

5. Open-Source Licence Compliance

RedmineKit develops and distributes products intended to work with Redmine. Redmine and certain related components are distributed under open-source licences.

Where a RedmineKit product or any of its components is subject to the GPL or another open-source licence, the applicable licence governs the relevant rights and obligations.

Where required by the applicable licence, RedmineKit will provide or make available the corresponding source code, preserve required copyright and licence notices, and comply with applicable source-distribution obligations.

Nothing in these License Terms is intended to remove rights that recipients have under an applicable open-source licence, including rights to use, modify, or redistribute covered software where that licence permits it.

Third-party components remain subject to their respective licences and notices.

6. Permitted Use

Customers may use a purchased product for their own business, organisation, or personal projects, subject to the applicable product licence.

For products that are subject to additional contractual restrictions and for which those restrictions are legally enforceable, customers must comply with the usage conditions expressly stated on the product page or in the accompanying licence.

Any contractual restrictions apply only to the extent they are consistent with the applicable product licence and mandatory law.

7. Redistribution and Resale

Customers must review the applicable licence before redistributing, sublicensing, or reselling a RedmineKit product.

For proprietary materials, redistribution or resale may be restricted unless expressly authorised by RedmineKit.

For software covered by an open-source licence, redistribution rights and conditions are determined by that licence. These License Terms do not prohibit redistribution that the applicable open-source licence permits.

Customers must not misrepresent RedmineKit products, trademarks, or official releases as their own original products.

8. Updates and Support

Updates and technical support are provided according to the policy displayed on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • The purchase covers the version and entitlements specified in the order.
  • Updates and maintenance releases are provided according to the product's published update policy.
  • Technical support, installation assistance, and customisation are not automatically included unless specified.
  • Continued access to downloads, future releases, and support may be subject to separate conditions disclosed before purchase.

Any update or support entitlement does not limit rights that apply under an open-source licence.

9. Licence Keys and Activation

Some products may use licence keys, purchase verification, or activation mechanisms to manage access to commercial services, downloads, or other contractual entitlements.

Where activation is required, customers must provide accurate purchase information and use the activation mechanism in accordance with the applicable product terms.

Activation mechanisms must not be used to interfere with rights granted under an applicable open-source licence. Where such rights apply, the activation process will be administered consistently with those rights.

Customers should contact RedmineKit if they experience an activation issue following a valid purchase.

10. Refunds and Cancellations

RedmineKit offers refunds in accordance with its Refund Policy.

Unless otherwise stated in that policy, customers may request a refund within 5 working days of purchase, subject to the policy's eligibility requirements and applicable law.

Please review our Refund Policy before purchasing.

Refunds do not remove or restrict any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law or an applicable open-source licence.

11. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

RedmineKit retains ownership of its trademarks, website branding, and materials for which it holds the relevant intellectual property rights, subject to applicable third-party rights and open-source licences.

Copyright notices, attribution requirements, and licence notices included with a product must be preserved where required by the applicable licence.

RedmineKit does not claim ownership of Redmine or third-party software incorporated into or used by its products.

Redmine is an independent open-source project. Unless expressly stated otherwise, RedmineKit is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the official Redmine project.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable law and the relevant product licence, products are supplied on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

RedmineKit does not guarantee that every product will operate without interruption or be compatible with every Redmine version, database, server configuration, theme, or third-party plugin.

Customers should review the product description and compatibility information before purchasing.

Nothing in this section excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RedmineKit will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of or inability to use a product.

This may include loss of profits, business interruption, loss of data, or service downtime, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and testing software in a suitable environment before deploying it in production.

14. Termination and Suspension

RedmineKit may suspend access to commercial downloads, support, or other contractual services where reasonably necessary to address fraud, unauthorised account access, or a material breach of applicable contractual terms, subject to applicable law.

Any suspension or termination will not revoke rights that customers retain under an applicable open-source licence.

15. Changes to These Terms

RedmineKit may update these License Terms to reflect changes to its products, business practices, or legal requirements.

The updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Changes will not retroactively remove rights already granted under an applicable open-source licence or other mandatory legal protections.

Customers should review this page periodically.

16. Governing Law

These License Terms are subject to applicable law. Any governing-law and jurisdiction provisions applicable to a particular purchase will be stated in the relevant product terms or other applicable agreement, subject to mandatory legal requirements.
